NKECHI UROKO
FOUNDER OF BECỌLỌD

The story of BECỌLỌD begins with Nkechi Uroko, the founder and designer, whose passion for fashion and Nigerian heritage significantly shape the brand.

What started in 2005 as an African playgroup in Amstetten evolved under Nkechi’s leadership into a music and arts organization called ELEJE.

Nkechi has a strong interest in the history of Nigerian fashion and beauty trends and has loved sewing since her childhood. For the association’s performances, she always created costumes with great attention to detail.

This passion for fashion and craftsmanship eventually led to the founding of BECỌLỌD.

ART, INDIVIDUALITY, FASHION, AND CULTURE

DESIGNED TO BE DIFFERENT

OUR MISSION

Our clothing, accessories, and jewelry are handmade one-of-a-kind pieces, crafted using natural materials such as cotton, shells, stones, and wood.

The patchwork technique is a distinctive feature of our designs, giving each piece a unique touch.

With our colorful fashion, we aim to bring more color and joy to the world – an intention that is also reflected in our name: BECỌLỌD ("be colored!").
